broadway musicals

Wow..I gotta say it was amazing! My first experience at a Broadway play Beauty and the Beast it was awsome and colorful. What i liked most in the play was the special effects with the rain it almost looked so real. Teh Cast dressed in their cute costumes and did a really great job performing their parts…

i was looking forward to watching the Lion King but as i was ordering the tickets through the phone they had no seat available together so instead i saw Beauty and the Beast.

has anyone seen a broadway play? how was ur experience? did you enjoy it…

I occassionally go to the theatre. I've seen Mama Mia in Toronto a few times. Will go to see Hairspray soon. Watched Bombay Dreams in London. It was alright. Mama Mia had better music. :p

oo...i've alwayz wanted to watch one...yea, the lion king is sold out here in toronto as well all the time :(

^ Thats because you proly like ABBA. :)

ps. This is SS stuff.

I do Faisal. However, Bollywood Dreams also had good music ... produced by A.R. Rehman. The story was too ... Bollywood though. Very predictable. Mama Mia also has a typical story, but I'm an ABBA fan so I'm a bit biased.

I don't even think The Lion King is playing any longer in Toronto.

^^ i know it isn’t :frowning: i tried gettin tickets for it long enough though :crying:

Moved.

I saw Fosse a few years ago in Manhattan..its more of a musical..but I really enjoyed it..I hope to go again.

Fosse looks good. I would like to see Chicago. There was actually this musical in Manhattan about Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Not too sure how that did but it certainly looked good. There is also Aida by Elton John currently playing in NY. I hear that is very good. I don't know if I would watch The Producers. It has gotten loads of awards though.

when i was in school, i was part of a club that subsidized tickets to broadway shows. we’d get orchestra seats for like 15 or 20 bucks, which was really cool. i remember my first bwy show… The Scarlet Pimpernel. i loved the book, so i really enjoyed the show. i’ve also seen 1776, which was funny, Smokey Joe’s Cafe (the songs were good), and Chicago, which i saw a coupla years ago when i first met my fiance. he’d never been to a bwy show, and since it was his birthday, i thought i’d surprise him by taking him to one. the only one convenient for us taht evening was Chicago, so i booked the tickets without checking up on it :smack: when the show started i was glad it was really dark coz i went redddddd with mortification when the girls came out scantily clad! lolz… kya yaad dila diya!

yea i heard bombay dreams music was great...but i dont know bout the play itself..im actually looking forward to seeing it (hopefully)

lol pheonix...how was the play itself (chicago)?
