Broadcast of Pak vs. Ind Series (Merged)

Few things... why dont you guys just buy a programmer instead paying for $199 for the cricket matches. You can get an ISO programmer for $55 from www.dishmonkey.com

Dusra, where is it mentioned that ARY has started broadcasting in North America. Plus I don't think Intelsat is available in NA. Any update would be appreciated.

8-10 foot dish? r u nuts? we have 2-3 foot dishes available here. I havent seen many 8-10 foot dishes (other than few at hotel roofs). Even if i find one, the amount i have to pay for it i'd rather go to Pakistan to watch the games :)

Mate next u reply to my post u better read carefully and then step on to reply ...... i wrote "for those who can set-up an 8/10 foot dish" ..... i know u ppl r using 2/3 foot dishes since Dish Network use to broadcast their service in KU-Band ...... further u don't any Dish-Network guy to to tune in a frequency just to check out .... if u r able to run a windows based PC u prove u've intelect to programm such an receiver/decoder .....

The much I understand this gibberish is that for us, all it means is ... abhi thand takho. :( ]

I wouldnt recommend anyone to go this route. Even though the programmers are cheap, they are a headache to install and you have to keep one step ahead of ur satellite company, since most of them keep updating there srambling codes,u wil have to keep reprogramming ur card.Unless you make an investment of $500-600 to buy(not practical)script and rom memberships, where are 3rd party updates ur codes for u,it is useless. Not to mention the risk of completely nuking ur whole system, since the blank rom cards u by are not lockable, and dont contain frequency lock codes.A little fact kman failed to mention.Trust of me on this, i have been in this game a long time ;).

Oh and according to intelsat website coverage maps, they do cover north america.

Intelsat

50 dollars for a series... it's a bad deal for a person who will watch match occasionally... I can't spend much time on match otherwise I will take TV channel for it... it's just I am looking forward to watch some when ever I can...

hiname: who is your cable provide? i dont know any in US that offer 11mbps...and what is ur upload speed? I have a dedicated 20 MBPS download and 6 MBPS upload university connection in my apartment,so i will be setting up a streaming video server for the series...once i find a way to pay for it to dish network :(

p.s those of you who have done streaming in the past, whats the most most efficent method of doing it? Im too lazy to research it. ;)

Dishnetwork must earn big business every series with their $200 price tag.

Petriotmedia is the cable provider.....

if you want to do streaming then they are many options available.... First Is most expensive and efficient way that is to spend 200 dollars and download streaming server to your own dedicated or home server...... Little cheaper but less effective then that is get hosting from someone and get a paid script from some site and start streaming.....

But the thing which I use for streaming on my websites (I own 3 websites)... All you have to do is open notepad, put the full http url (file should be in .rm format) in that and save it.... Rename the extension of .txt to .ram

Done, you are ready for streaming... Just change httaccess to allow only your url so that nobody can streAM it from your site, all done... Happpy streaming :)

the webcast of the series we all want, there is a way to get good quality

Salaam ppl I know I know not anothe Pak India webcast series thread but please I got a suggestion to make, since not many ppl go to comp section I will put my idea here
as u know in yahoo and Msn messenger when u stream through camera its a peer 2 peer stream which means no buffering as bandwidth is shared between broadcaster and reciever, so to get the mathes my thinking is every one should try and find a program which will enable u s tostream peer to peer that way I am getting my tuner card and many other guppies can broadcast so I think that through p2p we can canel all the buffering and kick some serious webcasting A$$

Hey mate let us try to use ur connection as a Server for other Guppies and i'll be providing u with the sole link for Cricket from my connection .... means: i'll upload to u with a speed of around 120K and u can set ur PC/connection as a Server for other Guppies who'll be able to access ur conncetion in larger numbers without having trobles with buffering and drop-out effects

Cool-Breeze knows a bit about i reckon

Sky Digital will not broadcast the Pak vs India Series. They could not buy the second rights for UK from Ary Digital. That means only ARY Digital will show the Series in UK and Europe :(

Saqi pila mujhe saqi pila mujhe.......

The ARY that is broadcasting in US (NA) is ARY ONE not ARY DIGITAL. ARY ONE is a news channel as far as I know.

OK guppies in US/Canada try this one

Ten Sports (Indian Version which’ll also telecast PAK vs. IND live) ist currently testing on Telstar 5 (97°West) http://www.lyngsat.com/t5.shtml and Telstar 12 (15°W) http://www.lyngsat.com/t12.shtml

For Antenna direction and pointing angles look here SatLex Digital :: Technik :: Rechner :: AZ/EL Rechner

For Telstar u may need a dish size of 2 foot not more Canada maybe 2 1/2 or 3 foot … For Telstar 12 u may need a 3 or 4 foot dish

The signal is FTA (Free To Air) … no encryption yet which may stay on as long as Eng is playing in WI i guess

Sky has just announced that they will be showing the ODI’s. :k:

I would gladly do that but my laptop is broken and I have yet to get another one (as you can see my other threads seeking laptop). Right now I am using my sister's computer. I will take my laptop in somewhere in few months in future. I will try to do that then...

Indo/Pak series.. timmings has changed for 3 ODIs

hello everybody

i cant believe that they have changed the timming of the matches, now the 2nd, 4th, 5th matches are D/N… that means it will start at 4 am est…

my brothers and some of his friends were buying the series together and now that the timming is so awkward we wont be able to watch the whole series as it will be very hard to watch the game at 4 am in weekdays… i m sure most of you guys will have the same problem…

and you all know that the prices are also way too much.. so i m asking all of you to please write an email to dish network guys and ask em to either cut the price of the whole package into something reasonable or either allow us to buy the matches individually.. wat do u guys say???

also mention that if u guys wont reduce the price then you are gonna lose alot of customers cuz no1 would wanna pay 200 bucks and watch 3 games only for 2-3 hrs in the beggning and rest watch replays

Willow TV is showing is on the net. Someone found this page
http://www.willow.tv/EventMgmt/UserMgmt/MatchList.asp?eid=33
don’t know how much they’re goinh to charge…

i think they are gonna charge the same amount of money as Dish network r chargin :(

thats what they did on pak vs NZ series.

ATN will be showing the whole series live but this is only for Canadian Viewers. I am not sure if its going to be free or for some cost. I saw it on ATN/ZEETV last night but if its free and its on ATN, it is going to be a good news for all cricket loving Canadians..
