available in around 50% of geographical areas of karachi by Worldcall, PTCL and Multinet Go4Broadband. Heard its reasonably fast. no idea about prices.

DSL is available in Islamabad, and pretty good too. The avg speed for most home users is 256kbps which is fine for browsing and occasional downloads. It is available in most sectors of Islamabad. The only downside is the bandwidth limits (upload + download). 1gb total will cost you around Rs.1000 a month, etc. Micronet is the highest quality best service, http://www.dsl.net.ppk You have to pay for installation and a modem and one month advance. A few other companies offer DSL, such as Paknet, which I use because I got the Aug 14 offer, free installation, free modem, cheaper bandwidth rates but I find it lesser quality than micronet
