**Twenty-four Britons have been arrested on the Spanish island of Ibiza during a series of drugs raids.**Police seized large quantities of drugs, including ecstasy and cocaine, as they targeted an alleged organised dealing and distribution network.
Officers raided a number of properties, including a pub in San Antonio, a town popular with young, British revellers.
It is alleged the pub was used as a base to sell drugs by members of a gang thought to originate from Liverpool.
Some of the arrested Britons attended court on Monday pending a decision on charges.
Local reports said police seized 19,000 ecstasy tablets and significant quantities of other illegal drugs including 3.3lb (1.5kg) of ketamine and 1.1lb (500g) of cocaine and methamphetamine, thought to be crystal meth.
The suspects were held on Friday as part of Operation Trafalgar, which targets drug traffickers in the west end of “party capital” San Antonio.
On Monday night the Foreign Office confirmed that a number of Britons were in custody in Ibiza.
A Spanish police spokesman refused to comment on what he said was an “ongoing operation.”
