Right ok, still developing? when does a country become "developed". What are developing countries developing towards/for?

Who would say is the "developed" and developing?
Edit: Aid is in the form of military supplies. Has a kickback effect for the USA. Provided folk with jobs in American factories. USA also needs strong defence companies for it's own security. Otherwise the contracts would go to competitors, who then invest in more R&D; giving them a military edge. Did you forget about Egypt, Jordan too?
