I know ppl whose visa interview dates got pushed out/delayed by a couple days

GW Bush did issue a statement that if they hear about OBL in Pakistan they will take military action. Maybe its got something to do with that

they created him...trained him...made him a killing machine...now to get rid of him, they'll stop at nothing even if it means killing thousands more. foreigner and dual citizenship holders are lucky that in case of a threat / attack they can get out of pak and be safe with their families in their respective adopted countries. but wht about the millions that can't leave pak? wht is their fault? OBL is and never was their problem. its the western governments that supported him all along, they had asked past pakistani governments to cooperate in helping him or face the consequences.now a whole country is at their mercy and west has the nerves to ask why muslims hate them. muslims are a done deal whether they cooperate with the west or no.

Election time in Pakistan is always intense and during a time when suicide bombings have been used against political rallies, it is normal for countries like U.S, Canada and Britain to issue warnings for its citizens. Pakistani government have to be very careful, these rallies that are going to be huge will attract attention from all sides. Most of these rallies will have atleast 50,000 people. Hopefully, everything will work out because after election, things should go back to normal.

I don't get it. Whats the big deal? Is there something happening in particular that I don't know about? I know about the elections but I don't think a couple of rallies here and there will cause a national crisis of proportions that Pakistan has not seen.

sometimes these things are just precautionary, as I believe this is. they have only asked ppl to register so they know where everyone is if they need to help in in near future. Had they been asking ppl to leave then we would know its a bigger deal and they have info that has pointed to some imminent danger.
