There is no denying of the fact that media plays the key role in making an image of a country. Yes we have problems but that does not mean that media outlets starts disrespecting our country and showing it in a bad light. In fact BBC (and many other domestic and international channels) leave no chance in showing Pakistan negatively.
Be it a news report by Barbara Plet in Islamabad or someone else. One thing is common, the background is always pathetic. Islamabad is one of the most beautiful cities in the world, yet when the images come from Islamabad, they would show a dark background at night (as if there are no lights there) and an ugly good for nothing background in day time. These sly foxes are always like that and I have observed it since years.
In comparison it would show India or any other country with bustling traffic, nice gardens, greenery and all the good stuff they can find. Shame on their biased attitude. They claim to be fair and balanced.
This is the latest that I found on the British Biased Broadcast (BBC) website today:
Look at the image. The caption reads: Most Muslims live side by side peacefully.
Does that match the picture? Already the topic is as if all problems are in Pakistan and its in turmoil (yes there are issues), but the image is so misleading and biased. It shows fire… Imagine I write a story about British Muslims and that they live side by side with British people of other faiths and depict a picture of this fire..as you can see.
Pathetic attitude. They just do it so openly and deliberately!
Shame on BBC!
Are you criticizing image only? What I saw in that little write up with picture is 100% factual. Zia was a curse on Pakistan & that is what BBC was trying to say in that. I didn’t see anything biased in that.
