There is no denying of the fact that media plays the key role in making an image of a country. Yes we have problems but that does not mean that media outlets starts disrespecting our country and showing it in a bad light. In fact BBC (and many other domestic and international channels) leave no chance in showing Pakistan negatively.
Be it a news report by Barbara Plet in Islamabad or someone else. One thing is common, the background is always pathetic. Islamabad is one of the most beautiful cities in the world, yet when the images come from Islamabad, they would show a dark background at night (as if there are no lights there) and an ugly good for nothing background in day time. These sly foxes are always like that and I have observed it since years.
In comparison it would show India or any other country with bustling traffic, nice gardens, greenery and all the good stuff they can find. Shame on their biased attitude. They claim to be fair and balanced.
This is the latest that I found on the British Biased Broadcast (BBC) website today:
Look at the image. The caption reads: Most Muslims live side by side peacefully.
Does that match the picture? Already the topic is as if all problems are in Pakistan and its in turmoil (yes there are issues), but the image is so misleading and biased. It shows fire… Imagine I write a story about British Muslims and that they live side by side with British people of other faiths and depict a picture of this fire..as you can see.
Pathetic attitude. They just do it so openly and deliberately!
Are you criticizing image only? What I saw in that little write up with picture is 100% factual. Zia was a curse on Pakistan & that is what BBC was trying to say in that. I didn’t see anything biased in that.

I think its quite obvious that it is biased. Read the caption and then comment.
You seem anti_Pakistan anyway. Who knows who you are? Indian, Pakistan hater or whatever..
I have absolutely the same opinion. State controlled BBC is biased to death against Pakistan and in favor of india. Which is also not a surprise given the fact that so many indians have made it to their team.
Pakistani media on the other hand copy cats BBC without thinking about the consequencies for the country. Pathetic to say the least!
Another one, a little subtle but certainly not accurate:
Our jawans and officers are giving their lives in dealing with the Taliban extremism menace. Yet these “respectable” media outlets just expose their evil side by being biased.
The news title reads: Pakistan army struggles in Buner.
What do you see in the picture? Tanks, army jawans, fighting the evil Taliban?
No
All you see is an image giving an impression that Taliban are not on the run but enjoying a meeting in a room. A non-Pakistani and even some so called Pakistanis get an impression (that they also spread) that Taliban are having a good time there and army may not be sincere.
Guys watch out this thread related to the same biased media. I thought I should give it a go in here but at the end I decided to make a separate thread.
… and here is another example. The heading for this news item is “Pakistan ‘Driving Out’ Insurgents” and you would expect some picture of mullahs retreating, waging weapons whatever… but what do you see in the accompanying picture? A poor guy with two kids being ‘driven out’.
We should educate all our country men about this very biased state owned BBC!
