Well I commend you for your clear vision. Unlike your Indian colleague full of glee, you do raise good points. In any case, I do believe that Indians, having achieved greater integration and economic prosperity will not face the brunt of these attacks..Isolated icidents, perhaps.
UK Pakistanis face a different situation. Although well intentioned, the community there has gotten a lot of negative press and the opinion towards Pakistanis is quite low. Last time, I was in the UK, matters became tense and confrontational with the statement "oh heres another Paki." Lets just say that the represcussions were serious for the offending party.
