Not sure about courses and current rankings etc, however a few years back (16 yrs!) when I was applying, the list was like this (in terms of reputation / prestige / standing / history alone)
- Cambridge
- Oxford
- Imperial College (Science/ engineering only)
- LSE
- Bristol (place for upper class oxbridge rejects)
- Durham (again, same as above)
- Manchester
- Warwick
- St Andrews (strong with traditions, not so strong for academic achievement!)
- Bath
