I think quality and not quantity should be the focus of Muslims now. We already have enough Muslims to keep them out of terrorist trouble. Bringing more into the fold may not amount much.
Simple math shows that you add 1000 converts to a billion, may increase the total population by (give and take few zeros) 0.0001 %.
Quality on the other hand is a huge issue for Muslims today. Can Uzbeks and Tajiks see eye to eye with Pushtoon Muslims in Afghanistan? Are Muhajirs happy living side by side with Sindhis in Karachi and Hyderabad? Can a Muhajir purchase a large agri-land in interior Sindh? If Islam as a religion or the new converts are not making us tolerant, honest, and trustworthy? Why to add more in misreable pathic group(s)?
Some people just turned a new leaf in their life and all your intreasted in is politics. You will find Islam does not condeone secreatrism, racism or encourage nationalism.
Islam may not condone bad stuff, and so do Christianity, or Judaism. The problem is with the flag bearers of Islam who are generally sacterian, racist, uncouth, dishonest, un-trustworthy, and above all intollerant.

why the f does it matter if some one is going to Islam or not, the important thing for you is that u follow ur religion correctly and be kind to other people. in the end you wont be asked about other people's dees but only yours.
