He was the husband of my Phuppo and passed away in London 2 weeks ago. It was a great shock for all of us. My parents went to London to attend his funeral.

No umer, i havent read that book, was he taken prisoner in a war? when? This is very interesting, do you have any idea where this book could be found? i wonder if its in print now as i havent seen it or else i would have read it already. Pls do let me know. Thnx :k:

I guess it is brigadier Mansoor-ul-Haq, not Admiral Mansoor-ul-Haq.
Some diaries of old army officers and bureaucrats were published in the monthly magazine, "Urdu Digest" for quite some years. I am not sure if the one under discussion could be found there too.

I have a copy of the book at home, but I got that from Mansoor Uncle himself. When I get back home I’ll look at the cover and tell you about the publisher, etc.
