I love watching Bridezillas and hearing stories just because I find them entertaining. But for the last few days I’ve been trying to figure out if it makes sense for them to behave in that way. I would personally be very happy to try and make a bride happy, because in my head weddings are really special, but then there are some stories about women who just want too much. What happens to women to make them make these wierd demands?
Re: Bridezillas - is it understandable?
^they get divorced ...not to forget.....cause lot of pain and hurt to those around them
Re: Bridezillas - is it understandable?
Have you ever noticed that you see desi couples showcased on “Platinum Weddings” all the time, but never on “Bridezillas”… ![]()
Re: Bridezillas - is it understandable?
I don't think there's an excuse. Getting occasionally worked up is one thing. But just making everything me-me-me (my day! my week! my month! my year!) is idiotic.
Re: Bridezillas - is it understandable?
We’ve all been bridezillas from time to time. You don’t even need an upcoming wedding to be one. ![]()
Re: Bridezillas - is it understandable?
its idiotic and immature. sure, you're planning the biggest party of your life, there are people and budgets and expectations to manage, but that's no reason to lose your head and act out like a two year old. pfft. grow up or elope. its amazing how many bridezillas are also otherwise normal/rational/sane/very capable professional women too who have great careers and would not lose their heads over a big presentation or project, but turn into someone else entirely during wedding planning.
Re: Bridezillas - is it understandable?
this happens a lot but needs ways to tackle.. i did panic so much and cried over little things on my engagement but yes my engagement was decided on an extremely short time of four days :)
Re: Bridezillas - is it understandable?
and then there's the opposite, make even a bit of objection or argue about something and ppl accuse u fo being a bridezilla when that's simply not the case
Re: Bridezillas - is it understandable?
No, its not understandable. At all.
I have been on the receiving end of it so many times because I happened to be closely involved in a wedding and it turns too nasty.
At the end of the day...its a wedding that is marking something much bigger...your marriage. Do you really want to turn it into an issue for people to be there for you? Do you really want your friends to dread you? One of my friends...she put her bridesmaids through a lot. I love her and was flattered to be a part of her wedding but the issues that gave her high blood pressure were just not worth it.
Re: Bridezillas - is it understandable?
my really good freind is in bridezilla mode right now and it's driving me crazy. I feel bad, but I can't handle being around her because she's so darn RUDE and worked up about everything. Rather than spend more time w/ her before she moves, I find myself avoiding her texts and making excuses for when she wants to hang out. That's not how I wanted our last few months in the same state to be :(
Re: Bridezillas - is it understandable?
^ its a strange time for brides.. they are about to start a totally new life so probably it triggers their bridezilla.. anyways it shouldn't be tolerated by the family and friends.. just help her manage with the wedding stuff.. take her to a calm place and sit for a while and discuss/make notes.. this will definitely help

Yeah I gave up on that. She's either really secretive about everything or shoots down my ideas because "lahori style is paindoo" or "you're too young to know what you're talking about", etc. I actually want HER wedding to be OVER ASAP so this'll stop!
Re: Bridezillas - is it understandable?
that really sucks.. hopefully it will be over soon.. :)
