If you were at all apprehensive about how the Judd Apatow camp would fare with an femme-centric comedy, the first trailer for ‘Bridesmaids’](Bridesmaids (2011) - Movie | Moviefone) should calm your apprehensions.

Straight off our poster premiere, The trailer is jam-packed full of insane fun from the likes of Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Rose Byrne, Melissa McCarthy, Wendi McLendon-Covey and Ellie Kemper. Better yet – they’re not “girling” it up too much. With retro rock fare fueling the trailer, it feels just like any other Apatow production.

It’s a bit different, for sure – there are bridesmaids, weddings and the planning of the parties – but you also have the women deciding between the following bachelorette party themes: princesses, Versace meets ‘The Gold Rush’ and female fight club?

Yep, you read that right. That last gem comes courtesy of McCarthy’s character, who looks like she steals every scene she’s in as the awkward butch of the girly group. ‘Gilmore Girls’ fans rejoice!

We’ll stop right there and let you dig into the goodness over at Apple. ‘Bridesmaids’ hits theaters on May 13th.
