Have we had a topic with pictures of brides or engagements where the girl chose to NOT cover her hair? A friend of mine is getting married and said for her hindu ceremony she will have her head covered but for the reception she’d rather not. So i’m trying to find pictures of bridal looks without a dupatta being on the girl’s head.
Any pictures or links would be appreciated. Thanks!

I think at most hindu weddings, the girl doesnt cover her head at the reception. I have been to a couple (here in Canada) and none of the girls have covered their heads.
I have also seen a few pakistani girls with their heads uncovered at their valimas.
I didnt cover my head at my engagement party, because I felt it was too formal.

^ Me either. Same for mehendi. I had dupatta on head for wedding. And you’re right, most hindu weddings, the girls don’t cover their hair… check out http://www.southasianbridemagazine.com/ - lots of examples there.

I totally agree on not covering your head for the engagement, it looks like a valima if no one points it out. To each their own. And I've seen quite a few Lahori weddings where the bride did not wear a dupatta on her head for the baraat; just for the dua. I guess it varies.
