i went to a bengali wedding over the weekend, on the mehndi the girsl wore this minty gree sari with silver kaam on it… it lukd amazing! one of the prettiest mehndi brides i’ve seen.. she had a seperate matching dubatta that was pinned beautifully, she had her head half covered with curls coming from the side..she wore a silver jhoomar, she lukd sooo elegant!

ok i hvnt really helped lol but felt like sharing that with u lot

me and my hubby are having a very late ‘walima’ party in Pakistan for his relatives there this december and I’ll be wearing a saree.. I’ll try to post a pic then!

i knowwwwwwwww but the way their brides wear saris and ours have a huge difference u can see frm the pictures posted here

I think thats the way it is worn as i have heard from other sources too so it wouldnt look tht bad i guess

no i meant the kind of kaam they have on their saris...its not as beautiful or delicate as our kaam :)

I can appreciate women who choose to wear sariz on their weddings but I can't imagine wearing one myself..! It's just not very bride-like to me... at all..!!

actually i'm pretty sure you can get bridal sarees which come with a matching separate dupatta for your head. that's what i would do!

bridals wearing saree? never seen before. But I guess The person wearing should know how handle, otherwise its really difficult.
