Brides' Hate Revisited*

Any Desi bride is capable of tackiness, given half the chance!

Both? There are more than two countries in South Asia.

"Paki" as a derogatory term encompasses all Desis, in the UK. Oiks don't go around shouting "Oi, Bagladeshi!" or "Oi, 'Industani!"; they use the all-inclusive term "Paki" for Desis of all creeds and nationalities.

Found another specimen yet?

Thanks for the clarification. I never knew the term 'Paki' had such a wide horizon.

No; have you?

Then I'm happy I was able to broaden your horizons.

Re: Brides' Hate Revisited*

Is it just me or is the corny-as-hell wedding video actually more cringe-inducing than her trip to the MAC counter to get a 40 buck makeover?!!

Uh, no she isn't. It's the over-sensitive people on here who can't digest a negative comment so they start imparting their holier-than-thou attitude on her. I don't understand why everyone on this forum always gets their panties in a bunch every time someone rants/complains/criticizes something. Get a reality check people, everyone has a right to their own opinion and the freedom to express it.

Re: Brides' Hate Revisited*

I have nothing to add except that I'm laughing my head off at the title. I'm not going to think about Evelyn Waugh without cracking up, let me tell you.

I hope you're feeling better Roxx.

Yes there's freedom of expression but there's also another value, which is, if u can't say anything nice then dont' say anything at all.

I don't know why, in an effort to be honest, one resorts to being mean and nasty.

Okay so let's all close our eyes to the real world and pretend everything is rosy and perfect 24/7. This is a public forum, where people come to discuss things and express their opinions. If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen.
