Hi,
I am going to Islamabad/Rawalpindi in less than 2 weeks and I need help!!!
I want to hire a lenga and buy fake but good jewellery. I got married in England and am returning to meet in-laws for photos etc..
I also need to have full tasteful bridal make up done. I am arriving on sunday and the event is in the evening so I will have do get everything the day I land. Please help! I am having a crisis and cannot sleep with worry as dont know much about brides and fashion in pakistan.
Re: Bridalwear hire and jewellery
renting clothes? i dont know if you can... you could borrow someones, i suppose... or you could talk to store owners, explain your situation and then work something out?
Re: Bridalwear hire and jewellery
there is this designer in lahore i.e. sonia azhar who i heard rents out her bridal stuff..and this shop in liberty market where they have really fabulous real looking silver jewellery which is gold plated..i have seen people getting their jhoomar, tikka made from them with artificial metal which match their gold necklaces since jhoomars, etc become useless after wearing on the actual weddinng day .. but i have no idea abt islamabad !
Re: Bridalwear hire and jewellery
yeah in islamabad its not like that. u can buy artificial jewellary from rawalpindi.... (moti bazar) especially the bridal look. but for clothes i think there is no shop for this. i heard that in gujranwala there are botiques but in islamabad.......... no way.... hardly any botique could do. also it needs a lot of time its not possible to land in the morning and do all the things same day before evening. ask your in laws to prepare all things for you before you arrive. any ways good luck
Re: Bridalwear hire and jewellery
Hi Sheal
Thanks for replying, Is moti bazaar open on sunday? also is there shops that are open on sunday where I can purchase a ready made lenga?
Re: Bridalwear hire and jewellery
Why would u want to rent an outfit? Thats just ehhhhh
Re: Bridalwear hire and jewellery
Hey, Moti bazaar is open on sunday! Moti bazaar will probably have artificial jewlery, but for lehngas and stuff I think you'd have to try random places in pindi! Try Murree road? and Raja Bazaar? I think its easier if you have family there, just ask them to take u around to the good bazaars!
Re: Bridalwear hire and jewellery
first of all, why would you plan the event on the same day you are landing?????who does that?
Re: Bridalwear hire and jewellery
maybe shes pressed for time or something?
Re: Bridalwear hire and jewellery
If that is the case then wise thing would be to let others take care of the shopping. Just tell them your size and what kind of stuff you like and enjoy the time.
