haha im sorry shenai but i just cant get over how the individuals in the couple have such a difference "sense" of the picture. the boy is giving a happy-i-just-want-to-smile-into-the-camera-vibe while the girl is working the sharmeeli-romantic angle :)

I don't think many bridals have statement backs, cos the duputta will be covering it.

^^ so true!!! :frowning: but my cousin still got a statement back but, she wanted it for herself and her husband so had a heavy material dupatta that wasnt see-through so the aunties wouldnt mind either… :smiley:

but i think statement backs with long shirts is hard right? :confused:

Statement backs don’t necessarily have to mean deep cuts etc it can also be kaam:

I think kaam on the back of the kameez is great for when you re-wear it without the dupatta on your head.

If you think the dupatta will cover it, why dont you get a 'statement' dupatta with a design on that? or is that not really gonna stand out?

Not looking for deep cuts. The back should look great when the outfit is re-worn with a lighter dupatta. The brdail outfit has a lovely heay kaam dupatta.

I liked the above one. However, for it to be a bridal I am kinda not so sure.

This one is a bit OTT in my opinion.

Thanks. Nice ones and can easily be made even if done over the cloth instead of keeping the back bare.

LOVE this one. Also, it’s true that it doesn’t work with dupatta, but not all brides wear the dupatta on their head for reception, so it could work then. Also, it’s a good idea for hijabi brides, since they could just wear a hijab and the kaam on the back of their kameez could show. It’s more modest than all the work on the front, which tends to draw attention to the chest area. This is a really good thread, I’ve always loved outfits with back details, nice to see some Asian outfits with that.

can’t really see it all but definitely looks like a statement back… actually, its an all-out statement outfit, this one and i LOVE it!

no idea who the designer is, though. makeup is by bina khan. bride is gorgeous!
