Bridal week has started! Gorgeous looks. What is everyone’s favorite so far?
Re: Bridal week 2015 - what's your favorite
I don't understand these new flarry huge skirts, its too indian feeling to me. The embroidery also has changed so much from a Pakistani feel.

I liked the collection with the velvet bits and taseer one had a good mixture of new and old. I already knew elan was going to go for colour now since everyone started aping their grey look but I didn't like their fluffy dupattas kaam.
My bridal dress is very very Indian looking (re: ali xeeehan) so I'm grateful I'm bang on trend with the lehnga and short shirt.

Instagram. I feel like I've seen the entire show because of them

I feel like because of Elan EVERYTHING is pale and pastels - grey, light green pink lavender, silver, etc. There's like no bold bridal colors anymore! I love that for valima, but for a baraat some color is still nice. Thank goodness for Kamiar Rokni.

I feel the same way, oomphed up lehngas with big big motifs , short cholis - it all gives a very indianish vibe. Call me old school but I love my buntos and classic sana safinaz. Although the workmanship and details are no doubt brilliant, it's all too busy for my taste.
I liked karma from day1 and republic by Omar was impressive. I feel although elan's clothes are gorgeous.. they need to come up with something different..
im yet to fill myself up on day2 but I'm excited to see what sana safinaz and suffuse have to offer

Swooning over the Republic by Omar dress called Rosa. It's absolutely stunning!
But I agree that the colors are getting boring now. They need bolder colours for Walima dresses, pastels are so overdone.
I also find that these dresses are WAYYY too heavy. I'm sure anyone who is getting them made will most definitely cut down on the kaam a lot. The Maheen Taseer outfit that Mehreen Syed wore was quite pretty but the short top was a no no. I hate that new trend. I preferred the long kameez/maxis.

Hahah same here!
loved kamiar rokni's stuff today, elan is pretty the same with their stuff but they are lovely. Also really liked fahad hussayn's stuff. Also whoever above said it feels like an indian show, i agree a bit cos everything is shorter hems or lengha cholis, but there's still a lot of Pakistani style bridals so its a good mix. Also after a few years, the maxi kameez and lengha look feels a bit repetitive so you need something new after a while!

Two words, Nomi Ansari.
He has the magical ability to work colors that are otherwise completely disastrous together.
I am in love with his lehngas and quirky designs.
I agree with so being over the pastel trend. They need to come up with something different. I would love to see classical jewel toned dresses from Élan. And some more gold work please. Not everyone wants to wear silver and pastel on their wedding day if they want Élan, that seems to be all they provide, which I feel is tedious and boring.

Nomi Ansari and Kamiar Rokni can always be counted on!
But seriously, everything is pale pastels with silver work, all bridals! It's hard to even get inspired for a bridal jora because I can't picture any really nice red now!
The huge lengha and short choli trend just doesn't work for a lot of Pakistani weddings though!

Colours are too bland for bridals, they all look the same, nothing worth spending $$
