Hi!!
I’m getting married next year, InshaAllah, and am trying to think of some different colour combo’s for Nikkah lehnga.Red and black is something I’ve been thinking of, has anyone seen this colour combo on a bride - does it look nice? Obviously i’m talking more red and less black. If anyone has any pics of Black and Red lehnga that would be great - or even red with another colour would be great! Thanks!

I dont have a picture of it but i remember seeing one on a bride who wore a deep red velvety material lengah skirt and top and she had very intricate black pattern with silver instead of gold - and she wore a chunky solid red choker with bits of silver and black and her hair was worn in a victorian up-do - she looked wow! very different, i like to see ppl experimenting - but i know asian society sumtyms considers black as a bad luck colour for happy occassions - so if u do experience that problem when explaining to elders what you have chose, you can always team the red with a deep chocolate brown colour instead - that looks even better, cos the eye makeup would be very stunning and warm, red, wid tones of chocolate - cos problem wid black eyeshadow in the eyes is that it will not look subtle and if you're trying to achieve a softer innocent look then brown may be a good idea....

No I have never bought from this website, but have used it for inspiration for many of my own designs and also for when I get things specially tailored (usually send print off from the website to India!)
Are you in the UK?
I am sure that there is a Khushbu fashions in Birmingham that Ihave been to???

Yeah I know some people can be very backward in thinking black is bad luck.. I guess I would have more red in it though, I like your idea of chocolate brown that's really different too... Thanks for the pics Wanabe... Are there any pictures of other unique colour combinations, i.e. red and another colour??

i think red and black will look good if u just have the red colour more obvious then the black and give a touch of black kerhai and dupatta

My cousin wore a Grey/Silver Lengha on her wedding. First I was a little...Ah...why would you choose grey??? But she actually loooked good.
Black and Red is gorgeous. You should go ahead with that. I love the combination of Black White and Red.

black and red will look gud..but i cant really picture it since i've never seen it worn by sumone! But since black is sucha a unique and bold color to it definetely will look gud!
