My bridal shower took place over the weekend and I must say it took ALOT of work because we made everything (the food, decoration etc). I can’t imagin the shadi stress now. It was put together with my two friends, my sister and I. The downside was that more then expected people had RSPV’d to come so we prepared for about 30 people but didn’t show up on the actual day. Overall it was fun and I wore a dress that I would usually not wear because it was a bit baysharam for me but I bought it because I loved it so I had to make it work with leggings.

Funny thing is that it was done during the day because we had to change the timing due to someone's walima at night so a lot ofthe guests had to go there. I didn't want to change the name to Paris Fashion Day lol

I dont know about the rest of you but for me I felt like my bachlorette (arranged for me by my best friends) was the ONE wedding event that was actually all about me...Thats what made it even more special! Weddings are so chaotic with so many people involved that as a bride its nice to have one event where other people make all the arrangements and all the attention is on you. On my bachlorette my besties arranged fun games, made yummy food and made sure I had a great time.
It was an amazing night where I was able to completly relax in the company of my closest friends!! I've also made sure to put all my efforts in arranging similar nights for all my friends who have gotten married since then... Even though it is a lot of work its definatly worth it and been a lot of fun each time (All you need is a fool proof to-do list)! :)
is there a difference between bachlorette from Bridal shower?
Bridal showers are with close friends/family so its a bit more intimate, I guess? Ya know, its more about playing games, opening gifts and other girly stuff. Bachelorette parties are usually what they do here in the US (UK, etc) and its for the bride to go out, do more crazy things. I've nver been to one, but heard they do things like go to clubs, drink, or even just have a spa day. its kind of more for the bride to spend the day/night with friends and kinda let loose!
