Hi ladies! I need your help once again!! I am throwing my best friend a bridal shower and need help since I am too busy at work and then at my evening classes. I want to throw her an unforgettable bridal shower she’ll remember for years. I want to do an 80’s theme since I know she likes some 80’s music and always calls herself a true 80’s baby. I am so sad b/c her wedding is in Pakistan in July and she is going to leave for Pakistan in June and I won’t be there with her. I want throw this shower for her before she leaves with her close friends. What can I do to make it an 80’s shower? What kind of decorations should have and what kind of food? Are there any websites with cheap/affordable decorations I can buy and what kind of favors shall I have? (Im trying to stay away from little bags of candy) Thanks ladieeeeesss..

My friend is having a "Tiffany" bridal shower next month. We found beautiful paper products to match the Tiffany blue color from Tuesday Morning. Not sure where you live, but you can find very cute paper products there to match your theme.
I am making a 3-tier towel cake with a lot of fake diamonds and stuff to match the whole Tiffany theme. This will be center piece. Check out:

Hmmm, for the 80s, neon colors, jelly shoes, rubber bracelets, big cellphones, shoulder pads, hair bands (the genre of music), dark, colorful make-up, tiered miniskirts, lace tights, rolled-up cuffed jeans that are pleated front. These were the 80s - see if you can work some of these ideas into your party.

In general i love the 80s and had you mentioned this b4 my computer crashed i had a great 80s mashup but i'm sure u can find those on a podcast.
anyhow i helped throw an 80s themed bridal shower and really the music and outfits set the mood. lots of jean mini skirts with neon leggings and funky outfits, side pony tails, crimped hair we had slap bracelets every girl got at the door. every time she said wedding another girl could take it, by the end of the night whoever has the most slap bracelets win. orientaltrading.com has great 80s favors in general that's where we got the slap bracelets. i will come back with more ideas later and some pictures from our scavenger hunt on 6th st in austin. I just remember standing on a bouncer's chair and screaming "Where is Michael?" eventually I found one bc i needed to take a pic of the licenese and get him to sign our form. i think the scavenger hunt was the best part of the night.
