There is one lady in RAJA CENTRE on Main Boulevard in Gulberg by the name LUBNA ...She does everything design and stitch and even do all sorts of shadi walay kam from Kharhai to dabka, moti beads sheesha work i mean u name it she does it ...plus point is she even designs for you and some times if u dun't have time on ur hand she even get ur dupatta dyed(colored) for you even can get u laces for ur dresses and suits and in rare cases buys material for dupatta and linings for ur dress as well.. u just have to let her know exactly wht u want and how u want it...and she helps u create a perfect outfit for you...She is really really good her fittings are amazing...do visit her in raja centre...she goes by Lubna's Boutique...Other wise ofcourse final decision and choice would always be urs...We can only suggest...
inshallah im going to pakistan for my shadi shopping in april... theres a thread somewhere written by 'silsila' called 'my time in pakistan' she wrote a whole account on where to go, where not to go etc iv printed it out and am planning on using it as i dont have ne relatives in lahore either!!
darzis that sew for army ppl are GREAT! no bahane cus they have been yelled at by army husband!! thats how i got 25 dresses sewn in 2 days! for 180 rupees each and they r fab!!
hey r3aziz, i think that may be cutting it very close. my in laws just went to isb to get jewelry made, after they finally decided on some of the sets, it took about 1.5 weeks to get the sets. and these are just small sets, not the main valima set. they didnt get the valima outfit cuz they want me to go to lahore to pick it out, the valima is on aug 10 but his sister wants me to get there in the first week of june cuz she says they need atleast 2 months to get a dress made. thats also what i have been reading on these threads, that u need atleast a couple of months. if ur going for a designer dress then u definitely need more than a month. if ur going to any other boutique, im sure that u can get s dress made within a month. ofcourse u can also just pick somethign form a boutique thats already made and u can have it stitched to ur size which could be done even in a week. good luck!
Hi all,I'm getting ready to get married - I'm a gori marrying a Pakistani and so a lot of this is new to me! :) In terms of clothes I would really like to go and try some things on to get a better idea of what I want and what looks good on me. Once I've done that then I will order them. So it doesn't matter how expensive the place is where I try them on - it's more just to get a idea. I would love any answers to the following two questions:1 - Where are some places where I can actually try on wedding clothes in Lahore? As I said, it doesn't matter if they are designer or not or how expensive. I do not want to buy them ready made, I just want to see what they look like on me so I can make better decisions about what to order. 2 - Where can I buy good imitation jewelry in Lahore? I don't want to invest in gold - at home one can buy e.g. in department stores jewelry to wear on a daily basis which is very pretty and classy but not actually made of gold or silver. That's what I'd like to do for my wedding jewelry. Any suggestions about specific places to look?Thanks very much for any help!
Haha, It's not a replica, she got the colors changed to match the baraat theme, we have the box and the invoice with the receipt and everything. i can guarantee its original man.
