aww well i know how it feels to have something copied from you but hey look at it this way, she liked it a lot so she had it made for herself! anyways yeah it is annoying, but i do wanna see your reception dress :)
i dunno why people would want the exact same outfit cause isn't it better to have a unique one? and its cute how you're designing your own

i completely understand, chanda!!! the lady who made my dress apparently showed it to several of her clients and FOUR other brides out there have the same dress that i designed for myself, right down to the colour combo and the kaam. apparently it was very unusual looking and people were loving that and she made a nice chunk of money out of my creativity :stuck_out_tongue: boo! hahaha
but i still love my dress so much, i dont care how many other ladies have it :slight_smile:

i think designing your own dress is the best option since you'll end up having a unique dress!
chanda are you getting yours made from pakistan from that same lady?

yes i am...since i liked a dupatta of one of the HSY dresses..and the shirt of another...i couldnt find a common ground...i started jotting down designs in my scrapbook....so now i have a bunch of designs...and no dress...soooon inshallah!! i will...i have to send the material and the design no later than May...
i am also getting a few saris made...and a white-gold and pink gharara for a cousin's shadi.. :)

yeahhh! gosh..its kinda irritating..isnt it..!! anyway...poor designers....but atleast they have their names associated with the certain dress being copied...and everyone knows its a copy...atleast i think they do.....but we as regular people cant copyright our dresses..so we ll just have to bite our tongue..and live with it...
ps...i love my dress tooooo....!! :)

yeah that sounds like me ......plus i think it'll be cheaper than getting it from a designer and it'll be more unique
anyways i have a picture of this really cute pink dress which i'll keep as a choice for my valima dress
