Maybe the brides wanted the white lehnga so she made again for them, its was the brides requests.
I think most of the brides have some picture in mind what they want so they dont want the designer to make something which they have not seen!
Because they have not seen the "outfit" and they dont know how it will look like when its made they maybe want to have something similiar of what is already made.
But I think that Bunto is overrated! I like Nilofer shahid more!
I know her! I've got some of her wedding photos, but I'll have to ask her before I put them up here.....However, you can see some photos from her UK reception in Asian Bride magazine (UK), in the real weddings feature, I can't remember which issue though I'm afraid.....
lol if they're in a magazine, i dont see whats wrong with them being online loll. thanks tho! is there a website for the magazine?
re: bunto... i think at the end of the day what we seem to be forgetting is that each bride has her own specific jora in mind, and bunto, being a designer i.e. service provider, is going to make what her brides request. maybe she wouldn't personally have chosen to make it off-shoulder, but hey, if the price is paid, i don't see why she wouldn't do it for business.
it does look a bit off though, i agree- all the traditional bits and then off shoulder... even a small eensy weensy 2" cap sleeve would have been prettier. to each their own, i guess! at least she has nice shoulders and can pull it off! :p
I've seen three very different -- and beautiful Bunto outfits. One was a lovely pink sleeveless fishtail lengha, made just as the bride wanted it. It looked classy, but was more revealing than some of the most traditional stuff. The other two were very pretty -- and different from each other -- but more traditional ghararas. I think SGC's right; she does tailor her work to the bride's needs.
When you go to Bunto or her daughter to make you a bridal jora, they DON'T enforce anything upon you, contrary to popular belief. They don't say, we are gonna make you this this and this, we are gonna make you a quarter sleeves or a long shirt or whatever. They will suggest something based on your looks but at the end of the day, they will make you anything you want. It's entirely your choice. Yes, even if you're taking to them a design of their previous bride, they will make that again for you. So these joras which have been seen on multiple brides weren't made by Bunto just for no reason, these brides must have definitely requested it themselves. I don't see why people assume that all of Bunto's joras look the same.. that's because the brides themselves ask for those designs! If you ask Bunto to make you something totally different, she will do that.
These are sum designs from Fashion ka ghar…( dont know why my text is appearing in pink… :s )…anyway…i know they rnt exactly bridal pics..but they r kind of nice designs…
hi. that dress is nice but maybe a bit too traditional for a modern bride? otherwise its a nice dress. but if you are thinking of selling then maybe flick through this forum and get an idea of what kind of embroidery is in on banarsi fabric/kamkhab.
i think there's too much kam every where, there's no need to use sequence on kiran gota , the one u've used on borders in dupatta.(not being rude, just suggesting):)
