no no the stage isn't pink and orange, i just said i liked that combo too :P
(see above) my stage will be green and red***
lol no I meant pink and orange outfit.....just giving ideas.....but i was wondering if that would go with the colors of your stage
hmm this is toughie to match.......did you pick an outfit already for your mehndi?
oh that looks hot…my sister was telling to go for a gold for my mehndi too lol
I like how the colors from your dress are matched with other things …cute idea
I wanted a moroccan styled stage…I think its usually orange and pink
I like the first one and I really like your mehndi outfit idea :)…hmm I was wondering are you gonna have a bit of make up on for your mehndi or you’re gonna go for an all natural look?
we have our wedding photographer coming to do the mehendi pics too, so im definitely NOT going all natural! haha
plus after all the time and effort put into getting my outfit made and the decor and everyone else's clothes, i am going to go all out! i'm going to get a makeup artist to do me up but of course my makeup will not be as heavy as on the wedding, but it'll definitely be enough so the pics come out good. and i'm gonna have fun with colors... maybe line the bottom of my eyes with turqoise for a pop of color and do black eyeliner on top or something... i'll figure that out later. i'm also not doing dupatta on head cos its crushed silk and it'll look weird if its all spread out, so im getting a really nice updo and have earrings, teeka, armband and churiyan. i might have a red dupatta from someone else's gharara on for the rasam's but after that its coming off so i can dance! yay! :)

yea that's a good idea....I think I would put makeup on for the mehndi too , not too much ofcourse
aww sounds like fun
i've thought about all of this wayyy too much! haha :P
i just don't see why girls have to be such plain janes on the mehendi, you know? i know im gonna look different on the shaadi as it is but i'm also using less makeup and leaving off the heavy jewellery and the dupatta off my head just to be extra sure.

lol I think its usually cause the older women think that a bride shouldn't wear makeup before her wedding so that she'll look nicer on the wedding........i dont see how that's true cause the makeup you get done for the wedding is different then what you do normally lol
exactly! plus i don't want me to look like ass in the pics the very $$ photographer is shooting! we're not throwing piles of money at him to take horrible pics, ya know? and makeup will just help me look better for his camera! haha

bingo.....no harm in looking nice for pictures
ugh i've seen disasterous mehndi pictures due to lack of makeup.....not all but some
I was instructed to do “light” makeup on the mehndi and I did my own hair…I only did the same amount I normally do for when I go to school, just a tad more eyeliner I guss…But the month before the wedding I just cut out wearing any makeup, my eyebrows grew to wooly mammoth proportions, etc etc…In pak, alot of brides do the plain-jane thing so that there can be the WOW factor on the wedding day.. plus, 've known a few brides who wore goonghat on their mehndis so it din tmake much difference..Sometimes there is a certain charm to be plain on the mehndi day and go all out for both days, but only if like she has perfect skin to begin with..i know that sounds kinda mean/rude but if one has any skin problems, (uneven tone, spots/pimples, dark circles, etc) it doesnt hurt to just put on a touch of foundation so that the pictures come out nice!
bisoux : me too! made me promise myself not to do that!
sara : thats the thing too... my skin might be clear but i do need evening out and if i'm getting an updo and putting on jewellery etc., then i want makeup! people will be looking at my face all evening, you know? can't scare them off! :P
