i would do straight pants.. like really straight pants, with a nice little side-slit at the bottom. not even the slightest hint of flare. and it would look really pretty sleeveless but with thicker straps, like a proper sleeveless (like in this picture - http://www.paklinks.com/gsmedia/files/38879/Rizwan29.JPG), not a spaghetti strapped dress like in the other pics. and if no sleeveless, then i’d do long black, slightly bellshaped sleeves, or even just the slightest hint of a capped sleeve. haha, theres lots of options with it!

subbo - if you're kinda hesitant towards the black, why don't you go for an eggplant purplish colour? I think that would look just as great or one of those realllly dark red colour ..

Yeh I agree wear it at the valima! and hey, I wore a black outfit on my own engagement sooo no one can have an excuse to wear a black outfit on someone else's wedding! and please, do u really care what any aunty is gonna say? seriously! if nothing else they will probably talk about how the color of your lipstick didnt look good. :)
Ziggy, although i'd keep the outfit black.. but if u sense issues u can always make it into a deep navy blue too!

SGC, Gina - you girls are right on the button, I think it would really work with straight pants. It's defintely a no to the spaghetti straps - I'm thinking capped sleeves and the small slit at the side of the trousers sounds an awesome idea. ooohhhh, navy blue sounds really sumptious as well!

Sumorani - you're so right - Aunties will always need to complain about something at a wedding. Whether it's your dress, your makeup, the bride or the food for that matter, a wedding without aunties complaing and backchatting would never be the same.

I'd go with deep purple since it's so IN but black is classic. I'd have to disagree with the other girls about the cut of the pants...since the shirt seems to be an A-line, I'd do long pants with bit of flare, a lot like what Nickie n Nina and Karma have been doing. I think it balances the figure and really elongates the body. And the sleeves should be capped since 3/4 sleeves would be too overwhelming.
Have you seen the outfit in person? Is the work done with swarovski crystals only?
