I think a really big teeka will look nice on its own.
theone in th picture looks like just a jhumar worn as a teeka..
I think u can wear the teeka and jhumar for the "baraat" and wear just a teeka for the valima =)

this was her wedding..the walima was in Pakistan..i think lahore.
Her dupatta was tucked in like a hyderabadi khara dupatta ...she looked so pretty masha allah and her makeup for all the days was awesome.

Good grief. Pretty bride but the jewelery! Yes, sadly bangladeshi culture still places the emphasis on showing off how much gold jewelery the bride owns at her wedding as opposed to looking stylish. In fact hubby and I were actually discussing it last night as I was flipping through pictures of Bangladeshi brides on facebook myself. Apparantly it’s cultural norm. Ah well… I guess we like our gold… A LOT. 
Alright… I wasn’t going to… but temporarily… here’s a couple of pics from my wedding. I went in total opposite direction, going for extremely simple jewelery. First pic is me w/ my in-laws, and second pic is me and hubby.

Pretty much. Was in bridal shop w/ American friend who was looking at dresses, and fell in love w/ this dress. So I figured why not? When else would I ever be able to wear an American wedding dress too? Plus, it was on sale.... yeah, I'm sucker for sales.
