yeah its totally odd - weddings in pakistan are sometimes like a spectator sport... people just sit around in rows and stare at the bride and groom- i'd be uncomfortable! lol
or maybe it makes you feel special... either way, its odd.
i think people need to start using tables and chairs the way they do here so at least you can eat in peace and not be trying to balance the salan, roti and grease with not staining your lovely silk jora :p
Nomi Ansari designs are beautiful, can't wait to see the pics. How did u find him in your dealings with him?
P.S. What colours are ur outfits?
I love his work too! he has such a good gift with combing different colors together,. my wedding outfit is alengha with a long blosue the blouse is red and dupatta is red and he lengha is magenta the kameez is suspposed ot have fukll kaam and the entire outfit will have accents of feroziishlight blueish aqaumarine color. i bnought my jewerly from chotanis to match its a long pendant with aquamarine then a choker, a basuband (arm band) and the thing you wear on your hand which connects to the ring fingers.
for the valima he is doing an ivory outfit with gold, silver, and copper kaam on it. it will be a dhaka pajama with a fitted coatie type kameez. the dupatta will have work on the crown
