i don't like the original dupatta, but im getting the kameez made withblack, calf-length pants! yay! i've chosen to get a black crushed silk dupatta with copper and turqoise piping on the edges instead.

^ it seems like a copy because in the original pic, it didnt seem like the outfit was so chamki-chamki and in your face golden... it looks a bit cheap. im glad i sent the other pic off to get mine made! haha i want it done on black peach skin fabric because it has great drape with silk copper thread, so theres sheen but not flash. lets see how it turns out.

This is totally off topic & random, but I was thinking about it...how come they usually only set up chairs at weddings & mehndis in Pakistan? I mean, I guess it made sense back in the days when they didnt let you serve any real food...but even now that they dont care about the restrictions anymore, I've been to all these weddings where they put out a full buffet, and still didnt have any tables set up?

yeah its totally odd - weddings in pakistan are sometimes like a spectator sport... people just sit around in rows and stare at the bride and groom- i'd be uncomfortable! lol
or maybe it makes you feel special... either way, its odd.
i think people need to start using tables and chairs the way they do here so at least you can eat in peace and not be trying to balance the salan, roti and grease with not staining your lovely silk jora :p
