Re: BRIDAL PICS.
you can easily use the same logic for outfits, why spend thousands of dollars on precious bridal outfits if you really can’t wear them again?
we had another discussion about whether or not a bride should wear a dupatta at her reception or skip it. most of us agreed that it’s important for the bride to wear the dupatta to set herself apart from other guests and to finish that bridal look. otherwise in a picture where the girl is just seen waist up she could look like a guest.
I think it’s fine if these girls prefer the simpler sets i’m not knocking her or any bride, to each their own. I’m just saying that I don’t care for this bridal trend. I like it when girls layer necklaces and wear family pieces and what not it looks more regal and what a dulhan should be on her day. With fashion jewelry these days you can have a fake set or a real one and most ppl won’t know the difference so i’m not saying break the bank on sets you wont wear again. also how many girls do you know have melted down old pieces of gold to form new ones?
The nice thing about desi trends is that you DO wear the outfit again. I would never spend so much money on a dress I loved so much but could never wear again!
