I have a question for all the fashionistas here…
I’m thinking about wearing sarees to both the dholki and the valima…I want to wear my grandmother’s wedding saree to one, and I’m thinking about getting a sabyasachi mukerjee piece like this one for the other:
My naanijaan’s saree is also a dull gold color, but its in banarsi tissue with heavy jaal work in gold zari accented with touches of maroon and green resham work. I don’t have pictures, but its similar to this saree, but with the colored resham accents:
So I guess the two questions I have are…
Are the outfits too similar (most of the valima guests won’t be at the dholki though)?
And which saree should I wear to which event?
