(1) had a completely separated wedding where they would come into the hall with a shawl covering them. & once they passed the doors where there were no more men, remove the shawl.

The segregation part sounds good, and i'd rather have that whether I wear hijab or not.
I went to this wedding where, at the mehndi, they closed the doors and kicked the guys out and the bride's sister and friends danced for em...except the groom was there, the DJ was a guy, and the videographer was taping it, the photographer was taking pictures, the waiters were going inside and out etc etc. So what's the point of segregation then?? and i think one of the girls is a hijabi..she mentioned it to me she wore it once but i speak to her about once a year, so im not too sure. ANyway , thanks for ur suggestion! :)
I think if you are going to wear a hijab, wear it with a very light, delicate dupatta over it, like these dulhans have. If it's too thick it might look bad.
