Salamz ladies, my complexion is on the darker side. Now do u ppl think light shades like pearl white, beige or off white would suit me or a good shade of red? I’ve always been inclined to lighter shades but for bridal m not sure, plz help.

Ivory/beige/biscuit with green accents would look really nice! Maroon's don't always look nice on girls with dusky skin but deep burgundy does!

well red should look good on u. My cousin is a bit dark too.. and wore Red on her wedding and looked very pretty M'A.depends how u carry it, and make-up plays a v.imp role!

there are a lot of shades of red, i never thought red would look nice on me but i tried on a certain bright red which i never thought would look nice, and i liked it! altho, white it also beautiful u don't have to rule out color, try on diff shades

dark maroon shade or a deep purple i think wuld look nice- i like their combination alot- i have yet to see a deep purple/maroon shade together for a wedding dress.

^^ i was gonna say red/maroon n purple too one of my cousin is dark too she wore reddish maroon it she looked simply gorgeous her makeup was good not whitish

Womanpk. You can go for ivory, off white, beige & still wear red jewelery to give a more traditional bridal look. I know a bride who did that & looked gorgeous MashaAllah. Don't go for plain white it will be a very strong contrast then. Colors mentioned above will soften your looks.
i'm darker and my arms are really dark or so i think I noticed when i wear white outfits it shows how tanned i am but i'm fine with my skin color so it doesn't bother me. However I noticed golden colors suited me well. Then again i knew another girl that was pretty dusky and she looked lovely in white and in certain yellows where as i wouldn't.
I think it matters on your skin tone, try on diff salwar kameez colors you own and take pictures, take a look at what colors work for you and against you. some people have pale yellow undertones, others a warm red, some that golden bronze undertone so you really need to know what you have and play that up.
or find a celeb that's about the same skin color as you and take a look at what colors suit them in photoshoots.

My cousin was kinda SANWLi..not too much dark…
but on her wedding day she was looking sooo beautifull…make was done very nice..and her dress colour was same like this..
Dusky people look great in saffron's..beige/cream/aqua.. and burgundy. Maroon's, red's and shades of green can be tricky though. A matte gold would look really pretty..
