Can you girls (and maybe some guys?) give me an idea as to what’s a “average” price for bridal MU/hair/dupatta setting in the U.S.? Especially in the Southern states?
And same with mehendi…what’s a reasonable price for bridal mehendi? Both hands…intricate design upto the elbows?

I found the good ones for MU and hair charge around 300-500. You can find some of the bigger desi salons in your area that will do it around 200 but i find their makeup quality isnt as good. If your looking for someone who uses MAC products engagement/mendhi is usually $300-350 and wedding makeup aroudn 400$. Add about 45$ for dupatta setting and about $65-80 for hair deoending on complexity.

I personally think MAC makeup is the best for desi skin tones and the pigments are bold so shows up well and it stays put longer and better than most of its comparable competitors. Bobbi Brown is another one very popular with the desi's. Finding someone who maybe uses MAC products and is MAC trained is a good idea (at least in my book) cause they seem to really nail our desi bridal look. Of course I could be wrong, depending on your style and taste. I know i went to one who is a MAC artist for my nikkah and she managed to get it right for my light/daytime/nikkah look and i have had trials for mendhi and shaadi and she has pulled of the more dramatic evening desi looks too. Again they have great eyeshadow colors compared to their competitors.
