anyone here ever done bridal mehndi? i have done it a couple of times on brides in the past but they were cousins etc. this time was the first time i was doing a non-family…it was someone from my friends family.
anyway…I had to do mehndi on a doctor bride today…and i got made fun off :(…well there was 2/3 doctors in the room and about 2/3 pharmacists…so when i had finished the mehndi…i was putting the cling film on so that she can keep it on overnight…and one of the women sitting there said to me “I can see you wouldnt be any good at doing a bandage”
so i said to the doctor…“this would be ur field right…we dont do bandages”…and she said even they dont know how to do it…so who’s field is bandages
anyway, it was great fun although it took 3.5 hours!! the camera man got tired and went home half way (i did warn him beforehand that it would take at least 3 hours but he didnt listen to me)
anyone ever done bridal mehndi and how long does it take you? including both sides of hands…arms… and feet…and doing the full hands.?
ps. the brides mom (also a doctor) says to me shes surprised that i can do mehndi…i asked why and she said normally people in the scientific field are not good at artistic stuff. is that true? she said i apparently have an extra talent
yeah both guy and girl getting married are doctors and the girls WHOLE family is doctors …so yeah i was surrounded by a million doctors…and a few pharmacists.
u know todays bride was malaysian getting married to a pakistani guy…and her and her whole family were really fascinated by it…cuz they dont normally put such detailed mehndi designs on…apparently they only have one dot in the middle
