wow, we never had any of those issues with Punita, but then again, maybe because it wasn’t peak wedding season? She showed up at 11:00 am. to do our mendhi and was there until about 5:00 pm. Took a deposit, gave a receipt, etc. 
I know she is really popular and does 3 or 4 mendhi parties in one night. That’s why we wanted her to come early in the morning the day before the wedding.

hmm thanks for all the input. hmm, so my popular vote, punita is not very reliable. i spoke with dimple's assistant and she told me how her rates begin at $100 and go all the way up to $500.
I've to schedule an appointment sometime and see what patterns I choose and she'll quote me accordingly.
So basically, we've punita and dimple... anyone else?? isn't there anyone from pakistan around here????

bhenjee, i haven't heard of anyone from pakistan... there probably are but they probably also work on a much smaller scale so it would be word of mouth and no website...

bhenjee - Try Saboohi's Salon and Spa my friend got her mehndi done 2 weeks before from her and she did a really good job. My friend got really light mehndi done on hands only she charged her around $25 the color was nice and deep brown not red like. The color of the henna is really really good.
For me she charged 150 $ with good traditional design (heavy) for both hands and feet
For the henna party it was i believe 6 $ per hand

I know a mehndi artist in Toronto, her name is Fia. She did my mehndi few times and my sister got her bridal henna from her too. She travels to and shes really good. Her prices are very reasonable too.

My friend who married a few months ago got Punita for her henna and she highly recommended her to me. I was thinking of booking her. It seems from people's posts though that she overbooks and and is not reliable. My Mehndi will be on a Thursday in June and was I was thinking of having her come by on Wednesday night to apply henna for me. Do you guys think the overbooking won't be an issue on a weekday in the middle of the week????

I was at a mehndi recently in Brampton - the family used a young woman named Kinnery to do both the bride’s & guests mehndi. The quality of the designs was very pretty & it also stained a good brown color. This is her contact info
