I dunno, im torn abt it.. on one hand, u dont want grlz to feel uncomfortable n cover up n do pardah n stuff coz theres guys around.. on the other hand, no way in hell am i gnna make my dad, bro, hubby, go in another room. i want them all there

i have been in to so many parties like that here in USA, where there was no guy only female, we dress up the way we want, and dance etc, it’s so much fun:balley:

I had a girl in Toronto that works in a salon in lahore, they are chinese women, 3rd generation raised in pakistan. She did make up for magaines too.

Beautiful job to be honest...my video/photos from the walima were amazing...

I think...the name of the salon in Lahore was Lucy. In toronto their aunt Sherly is there...all of toronto know them.

in big cities like toronto or chicago, NYC is full of all good makeup artist and godo boutique, but ppl like me who are living in smaller states have problems with makeup and cloths

She did my valima makeup--it was really really nice, if I do say so myself. Honestly, she's better than Ather Shahzad for bridals.

Muzna, you know you are totally right. I should have taken a better look at the details of the room. I think I got thrown off by the million family members in there.

Sort of on the topic: I was once on an Islam q and a website, and some girl had written in that she was going to be married soon, and that her husband to be wanted to spend their wedding night at his home (actually his parents’ home). When she asked about them staying at a hotel instead, he was totally clueless that people did that (“why do that when we can stay at mom and dad’s”), and basically said that was out of the question since it wasn’t a revaj in his family. She was writing in for advice, on how to convince him. I remember feeling so sorry for her though.

Hey, after seeing Kalyug I wouldn’t wanna stay in any hotel in Pak/India either

that lady is called shirly wu....she has a website...something like shirly wu beauty concept..google it, u'll find it...my bhabhi went to there tooo....she;s quick and did a fantastic job...

Chiaiman, your comments are so funny, especially about pretty people making you happy.
In the second album, there’s a couple (I think from TX) who’s being photographed after the rukhsati as they arrive at the groom’s family home. Even as they enter their bedroom:hug: and sit there on the bed, more and more people start joining them, and the groom’s father sprawls out on the bed. I’m highly disturbed and sympathetic for that bride. Couldn’t dulha sahib have sprung for a hotel room, or was it his wedding night fantasy to be in a room next to his parents, with a bunch of nieces and nephews running around everywhere? It just gives me the creeps.

does anyone know someone who can do athershahzad or the regular standard bridal make-up (the we're talkign about on this thread) here in NYC ? (besides opting for someone frm MAC or Macys or ending up at some desi joint who pastrify u)
