Aslamualikum,
I would like to get ready at home for my Barat…
Do u know some MUA who can do the Make-up and hair at home…obviously somebody really good…
If yes, plz send me the contact info…
thx
Freelance MUA's in Pakistan can hardly be contacted or found :(
Re: Bridal Make-up at Home
can anyone help if i will be doing the makeup myself? I am in desperate need of step by step instructions. I am getting married in a remote area of Pakistan, where i cannot trust any beauticians:)
^ I would love to help you out if you give me details..
Hi Gina, many thanks first of all:)
What details would you be needing? I am wearing a white lace saree at the nikkah with a pink and black, nomi ansari sharara at the reception.
I currently use a dior foundation, their skin flash and than the ysl touche eclat as a concealer...Dont do much makeup on a daily basis.
How do i go about doing my make up on the big day?
Thanks so much in advance.
Re: Bridal Make-up at Home
Totally off topic: I’ve always wanted to have a maid called “Champa” :halo:
Re: Bridal Make-up at Home
~ChuniMuni~ where are u located? A lot of MUA's in Canada, USA and UK ask u whether ud like to get ready at home or at their salon.. however i doubt tht wud happen if ur in PK.. but maybe if u asked them they might be able to help u out!
^ She sais a remote area of Pakistan :)
Champa, what area is it? (just curious) what is u're complexion like and what type of skin do you have.. u can PM me a picture so I cud tell u how to work on contouring if u have any problem area's, also what sort of eye-makeup wud look great on the shape of u're eyes.
:nono: Thread starter is ChunniMunni. Remote area person is “Champa”. Chunni hasn’t mentioned her location, I am guessing she’s pretty close to Champa though. :halo:
^u're right.. didn't read the nicks.. thought both are the same!
There are a lot of tutorials on youtube you could look at that might help.

Hi Gina
Would you mind just giving me general instructions on what the makeup routine should be , i.e what exact products do i use? I have an olive skin tone ..
Well.....chunimuni i donno who u r ..im new to thz forum newys i would like 2 help u since it is a mttr of mrrg ...lol
newys 1 suggest u to bleach ur face, scrub it n thn do facial one day b4r ur mrrg
I donno if these products r available at ur place or not but suggest u 2 go fr a branded one.
For bridal makeup 1st u need 2 apply panstick on ur face spread it evnly n thn apply pancake wdout leaving any patches. thz wil help u give a clean a glowing look.Thn blush ur cheeks which matches ur dress color.
secondly...eyemakeup is very imp.....since eyes define u .......apply eye shadow c tht it shld matc ur dress color thn liner n thn apply mascara ......i suggest tht a bride shld alwys use waterproof cosmetics 4 eyes since she wil have 2 cry allot on her mrrg day if im nt wrong.
Thn outline ur lips wd a dark color lip pencil n thn fill it wd lipstick n thtn gloss.
c tht da color u use shld match ur dress to some extnt if nt compltly.
Make ur hairstyle depending on ur facecut
Newys google is ur friend if u want 2 go in depth abt which hairstyle suits ur face n all u can search thr.
Hope it wl help u
Champa, I suggest u get u're threading/bleach and facial done 3-4 days before the events (just incase u break-out u're skin has time to settle)
Start-off my cleansing and a mild scrub to remove all the dead-skin. Moisturize really well and relax for 10 mins. Next is to apply u're concealer which shud be applied with a brush to all u're blemishes and dark circles (if u have any) "set" u're concealer with a pressed powder. Stick foundation turns-out great in pictures and real life (I love bobbi brown) dab it all over u're face/neck/ears and all the way down to where the "gala" of u're kameez wud be. Blend the foundation really well...
If need be go over with concealer again if u still have blemishes to conceal.. set everything with loose powder and with a large brush, remove excess powder. (don't forget u're eyes and lips)
This should give u the coverage u need.. and provide a canvas for the rest of u're makeup.

Gina, this is wonderful advice. I am going to print everything out. So i need a concelar, i use 'dior. which press powder should i get? any reccomendations? than i use the ysl eclat to cover my dark spots.
What do i do after that?
Thank you so much for your help. I am much grateful!

What is a panstick?
Don't use the panstick/tv stick it's alright for people on camera, not real life :)
Champa, can't really help u out with colors as I don't know u're complexion u say "olive" but there are actually more than 60 shades that come under the term "olive"..
I also dont know the shape of u're eyes and face.. and that's why I left the rest out. Diff ways to apply makeup for close-set/deep-set/slanted/almond shaped eyes. I also can't explain the contouring to u, I have no clue what face-shape u have.
For the white outfit u can do ivory and grey eyes.. (don't know the color of u're eyes either) and for the pink and black lehnga.. do pink and black smokey eyes... not too dark though.. in seashell pink and ebony!
