Zeba in my opinion is not that great......she puts way too much makeup on the brides. BUT some people like that.
It's funny you say that. My mumani definitely didn't look like she had caked on make up, but she's naturally very pretty, so maybe she didn't need as much. When I had my mangni make up done by the daughter, I remember breaking out and sobbing because the eye make up was so dark (it was a mangni for heaven's sake! and I was wearing peach). But, to her credit, she did redo it and very nicely. I think it was maybe a lack of experience. This was 5.5 years ago.

yeah actually i do live in the dc area but i go to lahore a lottt..i love it there! all of my cousins get their makeup done from madiha's! i know exactlyyyyy what you're talking about and what you're looking for. i really honestly do believe that uzma is the best out of all of the other ones in the area. i have a couple of friends that got their makeup done from her and it was lahore-style...great glow, great combination of powder, blush, eyes and lips. im actually looking at some more too and im going to start getting makeup trials from these people as well. if you want i can show you what they do on me since you're all the way there. my wedding is inshaAllah in june. hope this helps!

im getting married in May or June, date is not finalised yet. i will need alot of help frm u frm make up point of view. Keep me updated plz :) i dnt knw this forum is secure to share photos or not(im new here)...if not u can send me trials photos to my mail box..i willl also send u my photos with make up..im also good at makeup..trust me..can do a gr8 job for party makeup...:) but obviously one needs a professional make up atrist for the big big big wedding day :)

OK, so my bhabi got her valima makeup done from lahore hair salon and here is what happened. I had called like 2 weeks b4 and she was like ok, and told me the bride should bring all herself and that she's written the appt in her book, and she also got my number. i wondered if they were going to call to confirm- but figured they were typical desi when they didn't. anyhoo we got there day of the valima and they were like vaaaat?? u have appt?? anyhoo after waiting for an hour while woh 'cheezan teyaar kar rehe the" i got pissed off and we were scared after looking at their portfolio and then they ran after us.
anyhooo finally they started on the makeup- and bhabi brought her own foundation from mac b/c she wanted the right foundation for her skin- and she kept insisting she need to put this nasty thing on her face to keep it from looking dull. anyhoo i said no she wants to use her own foundation but anyhoo when i left she did it anyway. Also, she didn't use clean sponges!! eew i was like wth u don't even have clean sponges-- and then she just washed it which was not impressive.
anyhoo- ultimately the bride's hair was really good, makeup and everything was just okay. her pics came out good though--i don't think anyone here can do makeup like they do in pak- and the lahore hair salon lady was also really impressed with herself--i was like umm w/e makeup if okay but still not like pakistan.

Saadia Im sorry I don't mean to sound rude, but the pics you posed... The bride's base is totally off. Her make up is too loud and has no style to it. The mehindi is done nice though.
I think you have the skill as ur shading is fine, but you need to make sure ur bride looks pretty and not loaded with make up on her face
