So, my mom has been itching to start looking around for bridal jewelery for moi…I haven’t got slightest clue about gold jewelery so I wouldn’t be a help for her and she has never bought any gold jewelery in GTA before as she’d buy whatever she needed/wanted during her Pakistan visits…
So, all you GTA residents, or basically anyone who has any experience of buying gold jewelery in GTA, come on out and fill me in with your experiences and with what jeweler you had business with, who gives you good deals, whose designs and customer service are just crappy …
I went to at least 20 shops in GTA, mostly on Airport Rd.
I didnt find any "bridal" sets that I liked at all. There were a few somewhat decent ones here and there that were small (party wear). A few stores were not as expensive, although I cant remember the names of any of them.
there is Ashok Jewellars............... one of my family friend's got all the jewellary for her 2 daughters and two bahu from there....... and it was pretty decent..............
it is on airport road too........ rest dont know.....
but to be honest..... u should get them from pakistan...... there is so much more variety........ idhar most of them are indian inspired
My mom always raves about Ali Jewellers...i think its in brampton on kennedy...i havent been there but they come on Eye on Asia on the weekends and some of their stuff is really nice...plus they have Pakistani style jewellery!
My aunt shops at Raj Meeras all the time...I find them very rude when you go to browse or re-sell old jewellery. Once I accompanied my aunt to shop for bangles and she asked for my opinion and I told her that I didn't think they were worh the money and Meera was like...well...you are not wearing them so you should let your aunt make the deciosn. I'm like there is a reason why she brought me here!
^ I agree with you naqsa - I found meera rude and I find she dishes out a lot of attitude... my friend and I were not impressed and I will not go there again!
Noor jewellers has amazing variety - lots of stone jewellery. Ppl are helpful and they carry lots of beautiful sets, smaller victorian style stuff and nice heavy jhumkas as well. I bought a few heavy rings from there ....They are definitely worth a visit and I would not buy anything in the GTA before seeing what they have....
Ali jewellers has some nice stuff as well. They have some items that you won't find elsewhere. I bought a small set from them. They were nice to deal with.
I dont know if this will help but I myself am looking for jewellery here in GTA. I have been to a few jewellers and honestly, Ali Jewelers on Kennedy and Steeles is WAYYY more expensive then any other jeweler I have been to.
I bought one big set from Singapore Jewelers on Airport and Derry, and he was reasonable when he opened up newly (about 2 years back) but now he is also a bit on the pricey side.
Noor Jewellers so far I think probably by far is better than any jeweler I have been to here in terms of variety. Prices are okay there.
Dubai Jewellers also on Gerrard is not bad either in terms of price
I am still looking around though so when I finalize the one I want... I'll be sure to leave some review behind for the jeweller :)
and oh btw, I have heard from a few people that Raj and Meeras are probably not the best people to go to as most rate them as "scam" prone. I personally have no experience though. and If your looking for costume Jewellery then there are lots of places I know of that you can buy them.
I will not buy from Raj and Meera's simply because of her attitude. We have been there a few times and not only to browse yet we still were not treated well by her.
When my daughter Noor was born, Ibrahim bought me a set from Noor Jewellers. Kind of a mushy thing to do....but there it is.
There is another jeweller on Gerard.....right near Lahore Tikka....forget the name....but they usually have full bridal sets with teeka, jhumar, nath and all matching.
