amazingly beautiful natty. plz post more pictures from ur wedding would love to see them… like mehndi and walima also? ![]()
my set looks a lot like this…i was randomly looking on the net and found this..got it made abt 7 months ago in Pakistan…this one has slightly different earrinsg to mine…but is same style..polki…
^ That set became so common last year! It's by Waseem Jewellers.. my mom got me one too =( seems like everyone has it now!
Re: brides jewelery
i am not too fond of the over-dangly designs.....too many beads..etc...a properly defined desgin would look a lot prettier.....too bad these designs are in demand...and most of the stuff we saw was heartlessly done.....i.e. looked fake.....went to check out some jewelery last week...and it looks like the entire market has been taken over such designs... :-(

this is the speak of my heart!! So true, the jewellry experience has been so dissappointing...i thought it was really a pain to find one "defined" design....so much so that before i was ready to check someone's collection, i would first have to ask if they had some "traditional" stuff!!! Yes....though this sounds like a 60 year-old asking for something to buy for her grand child, i was made to feel like one! Every other jeweler would shake his head and grievingly say "m sorry, but what u ask is out of fashion now"...Khi jewellry is flooded with colored, beady, antique finished designs...some of them seemed like an abstract art creation to me...:D seriously it's like some leaf/flower pattern which u can't know how n where it starts or stops, with dangling colored beads to everywhere!!
Chanda, where have u been looking around, Khi or Lhr?

Re: brides jewelery
^ Blushing rose - knowing your taste for the ultra-traditional mughlai look, you would really love the work of Hassan Ali Javeri. They're based in Karachi - I remember even Bunto's daughter in law claiming she got her wedding set from them as well :)
