Bridal Foundation

This is related to my thread in “beauty and fashion.” I always wondered do brides put make up on their arms and hands too? because no matter how much the foundation matches ur skin it would still have a different glow and look and many brides that I’ve seen, their arms and hands do match the face too if they dont it looks really bad. I think it’s probably because brides put a lot more make up (base, foundation, then powder) and if the arms and hands are left out i guess it would look odd. But I’m just assuming all of this. Is it true?

Re: Bridal Foundation

Depends where you go for the makeup. My friend recently got married. She had body make up done -- All of it. So no, its not a strange notion. Its actually quite common now. Just speak with whoever's doing your makeup ahead of time.

Re: Bridal Foundation

body makeup? woah..that's a bit much for me. i wouldn't wanna look too different from my normal self

Re: Bridal Foundation

If your face foundation is true to your actual skin color, then you wouldn't need body makeup since there would be very little difference. I have heard of people wearing body makeup on the arms in Pakistan, but not here in the US. You do extend your foundation to your neck and decolletage.

Re: Bridal Foundation

Some people do wear foundation on their arms. I myself do not apply makeup on the arms unless it is asked for, if I think that it's needed, or there is some issue with discoloration (because it can easily wipe off onto the skin). But it is done, and it isn't strange!

Re: Bridal Foundation

ya u do need to match ur face with ur arms n hands..n feet aswell..atleast i do..whenever i wear a foundation on ma face i put liquid foundation of a matchin shade on ma arms hands n feet sometimes..if i have enough time..thats what they do with models n actresses too..n in good salons

Re: Bridal Foundation

i am finding this very strange, is your foundation so light and thick that you body dont match, coz wat happen wen u wash ur hands. the only body make up ive heard of is body powder which adds shimmer to ur arms but not ur hands and feet.

Re: Bridal Foundation

well isn't feet and hands covered by mehndi? so it wudn't matter if the makeup was on it?

Re: Bridal Foundation

My foundation matched my skin color very closely so i had no use for it.

On my nikah though, the lady applied a lighter color and also did my ears, throat, neck etc. It still didnt look taht off since i was wearing full sleeves.

Re: Bridal Foundation

and aren't hands/feet and arms (sometimes) darker any way cz they're more exposed?

Ears, seriously??? Didn't it feel odd?

Re: Bridal Foundation

Usually if your foundation matches your skin color then you don't need to put makeup over ans arms and stuff because most of the time mehndi covers most of the arms (unless someone is going for minimal mehndi look)

I agree that it's very common now to have body foundation. But that doesn't mean you pour a bottle all over you.

If you feel your arm, neck or any other part is uneven to your face, take a few drops foundation and mix with with your body lotion, then apply.

Most made up faces look brighter in pictures because of the flash, that's why the body can appear to be a darker shade.
