Okay so i really wanted Bunto for my bridal dress. But i guess she is too expensive for me. I believe she starts at 3 lakh, i think those jora might not be that good. But i would certainly like to see her lower range jora’s
Anyways, i need help with shopping for the bridal jora. Where can i find nice dresses, i am looking for places where i can see what an end product will look like as i am not too good with designing and i don’t want to risk it.
and i would like to stick to a very low budget of around 1 lakh or a bit higher than that. But certainly not more than 2 lakh.

Bunto is a Pakistani designer. You should stick around here on GS and you'll quickly become familiar with all the designers. I had no idea either until I stumbled onto here. :)
OP, you should consider getting a replica. I'm pretty sure there will be a few good karigars (correct term?) in Lahore to help you get a Bunto replica.
Go to a place called Makkah towers in Liberty/Gulberg area. Or google Zahid Jewelers, their shop is located in Makkah towers too.
This is a plaza with multiple wedding dress shops. They have samples for you to see and add some alterations to and you have your wedding dress. It can EASILY fall within your budget of one lakh or a little over a lakh and look gorgeous.

She is actually EXPENSIVE. I mean I soo soo soo wanted but then I realized that the baycharay parents o ' mine have MORE important things to cater.
Anyways, I am in Khi and currently under negotiations with some karigars on a Bunto replica.
Noone other than Bunto can make a worthy replica. Her dresses are brilliant.

But then there are other things to look to at a wedding as well, in terms of money spending preferences. Those who can afford a 600 K plus *jorar *should definitely go for it. Those who can't can always settle for a replica. :-)
Mines is in august, 4th day of Eid. I went to Kehkashan yesterday, got few quotes also. For barat im looking for traditional kaam, and for valima something like SS work style. But im still confuse at giving at kehkashan as they are not basically the bridal ones i suppose, but yes can transform any dress into bridal... So would it be a good choice to experiment with them for ordering bridal? Very much confused :s
^ definitely get samples made of everything before ordering. and you have to stay on top of the karigars to make sure the kaam is as-agreed and that it is delivered on time. my cousin had both her bridal and valima outfits made there and it was a nightmare. they arbitrarily changed up the kaam, cutting back on the intricate work because suddenly the price she had negotiated for it initially was "too low" for them. they also made the kaam bigger so they wouldn't have to do as many motifs on it as they would have if the kaam was the smaller, more delicate style she wanted. so choose the karigar wisely- go to one of the bigger shops and have samples done and stay on top of it.

Mine is also in Aug IA. After Eid. There is just the baraat jora I have to get sleepless nights about. Reception jora MIL is getting made.
I completely understand your situation, I just came back from shopping in Pakistan and i have a very simillar budget as yours. The biggest problem is that you and my budget was higher than local bridal shops have to offer but a little less than designer’s range. But if you really look into it you can get designer jora for 2lakh. I would think Karma would be able to make a jora for something like that.
If you really, really, really want a bunto, you can get a peshwas.. I was seriously considering getting one from Dr. Haroon for my valima, the shirt would be heavy and the dupatta too.. You’ll be saving money on the lehnga basically!

I actually don't know.. But my cousin showed me a Peshwas by Dr. Haroon and it was soo lovely!! it was in melon pink and beige color, i wish i had a pic to show you!! :( I always thought that peshwas are a little boring to wear to your shadi but i completely changed my mind when i saw it! He is truly amazing and such a nice person!! i think a bunto peshwas will be slightly expensive, but the dr. Haroon one was for 2 lakh.
both Bunto and Dr. haroon are both in karachi and since they both make costume made dresses they want to meet their clients. maybe you can fly in for a week?
