im getting married next year iA and currently looking for a dress here in the UK. I will only be in pak for a few weeks for the wedding so cant shop there…
My question is, is it possible to buy a bridal legha for 600pounds?? a nice one? not looking fo anything designer obv but something relatively heavy in terms of work?
I live in manchester so does anyone know anywhere apart from wilmslow road where i could start looking?
You can buy a bridal lehnga in Pakistan within a few weeks or even a day or two within that price range. You can buy a readymade one and get it stitched.
theres loads of places u could go to.Would u be willing to go to Birmingham?as there is a lot of variety,especially Soho road and now Alum rock.Also on ladypool road u can check out world of fashion or panache as well as Meena Bazaar and Khushboos. You can easily get something in that price range,one of my friends brought a heavy bridal a little while ago for around £500 and it was amazing!hope u find something u like:)

I was looking for a bridal dress in the UK and found it hard to find what I wanted for £600, however I did have very specific requirements, in the end I got mine made in Pakistan. Having said that I bought my valima dress here for around £700, we got it down from £1200. The key is to bargain!! Green st is pretty good for ready made bridals and you can bargain there. That's if you want to stick to London.
smile1 im also in the same boat as you. im going to get married in pak aswell inshalah next year and will only be going there for limited time therefore will have to buy my walima outfit from here.
southall had alot of bridal shops and you can get them tailor made and if you tel them your price range im sure they can do something for you.
my price limit is 1000-1500 obviously the cheaper the better
smile 1 i have a cousin who designs wedding outfits in pak and could a outfit u here she as her group on facebook if u wanna have a look. u'd be better getting it from there than here as the designs are more up to date, even if u had a design that d like them to copy they will be able to do this. Also ud get a bargin there !
yeah...i think i know what i want but its mainly in my head!
prob something turquoise with gold work, a light-ish duppatta and dimantes on the whole outfit. that prob makes no sense to anyone but me hehe
i dont think i would shop in pak as im from mirpur so i would probably get ripped off and there are no nice family members who would haggle for me :(
im hoping to get something for that price from bradford or manchester, maybe alter something i like in terms of material or work?

I have a ferozy wedding dress with dull gold kaam on it. It has a very nice feel to it and lot of decent kaam. If you are willing to have a look, I can share some pics with you

why don't u get it made from a gs designer instead? i don't live in the u.k. but you already have something in mind i think that would be a better idea...i'm sure you can get the bridal you want get made from someone.
