Bridal Dress or Bridal Jewellery… Which should I choose first?
New to GS and loving it. I’m getting married this winter but won’t be getting to Pakistan and starting my shopping till few weeks before.
So I was just wondering if I should choose the dress for the wedding day first and match the jewellery with it or the other way around? I’m not sure if this is a “real” problem but would really appreciate if you would share your experiences or ideas.

Depends on what catches your eye first! You could build your outfit around a gorgeous set you've seen or you could get your dress first and then see what set goes best with it. I designed my dress, and ultimately, my wedding, based around my mom's emerald and pearl jarao lacha.

I was thinking the same thing. I live in Dubai and plan to buy my jewelery from Dubai and dress from Pakistan. Lets see if I am able to get my dress first or the jewelery. And I also plan to get jhoomer, teeka, mathapatti etc to be imitation which also will need to be made according to my original gold set... uff thats a lot of work need to be done to get married :o

Thank you all for your help. Yeah I would love to have something catch my eye and then go with it. There are just too many unknows :(
I would definately do the dress first to make sure the colors match exactly well with my jewelery.

Yup, same^^
To me my dress is something waaaay up there in regards to dress vs. jewelery so I would probably already have my dress planned out before the topic of jewelery came into discussion.

For me jewellery is also up there since it's going to cost tons and it's important to me that it looks great and I will have it forever. At the same time I don't want to be stuck on the jewellery and lose the focus from the dress both the dress and the jewellery make the bride.
I'm hoping when I do get to PK that something will pop up (hoping).
Dress always come first then the Jewellery................

my mom got my gold set abt 8 years ago...and now i got a outfit to go along with the gold.
But for my valima we ordered the outfit first and thn my inlaws went shopping for the set.
