Do you guys think its possible to get a Valima Lehnga made in Lahore in 3 weeks? I am plannign to go for 3 weeks only and have to get my would be bhabi’s Valima outfit and I have a felling that wont be enough time…
and I am not sure if we would like something readymade?
Do they have nice ready made stuff? what place?
or id it better to buy one from here in NJ… any places that anyone would recommend?
Thanks,
Don't know lahore, but i do know that there are some shops with sell the material with the embroidery already done on it, all u have to do is choose which one u want and they measure up and sew it for u, sometimes u can have this done by the next day. As u have 3 weeks, u should browse for at least 3 days b4 u select.
I went to paks in April and couldnt find any tailor who would b willing to make up a wedding lehnga from personal design until at least 2 months time.

i highly doubt that someone will agree to make a lehnga for u in that time. but if u have relatives there then maybe u can get them to mail it to u as a parcel once its done and leav the money with them to pay the kam wala.
othrwise u can go to places like liberty or anarkali to see readymade lehngas. i was there earlier this year and found that in anarkali u have to really look for pretty lehnga (if u r really picky abt colors and designs) as for liberty, u r likely to find a decent lehnga sooner but it comes at a price. so its ur choice. if u r going just for the lehnga and going to spend 1000-1500$ + on it then i suggest u get it from wherever u r living rite now ... its not worth the trip. but if u r doing all the 'bari' shopping in lahore then its ok.

Forgot to mention, wedding is in pakistan so we are going there anyways but cant go sooner than 3 weeks... so you guys think its impossible....
how abotu readymade lehngas in Liberty, what is teh avg pricing... anyone knows? are readymade more expensive than getting one made from scratch?
This is a great post...specially for me because this same case applies to me, can someone please post avg cost of a wedding dress from liberty and/or anarkali. Is there a difference in material or the style or kaam?
3 weeks is being ambitious, keep in mind the 12-14 hours of loadshedding =) u're best n safest bet wud be to go for a readymade lehnga. Try shops like Zardozi, Think Pink, Maria B..
