Bridal Dress designer

Hi all.

Please can any one of you tell me:

  • Who the designers of the following dresses are?
  • Also, where in Lahore can they be made?
  • Anymore dresses you have of this colour?

Re: Bridal Dress designer

Or any link where the details of these dresses may be found?

Re: Bridal Dress designer

first one is by Hijab. their outlet is in city towers lahore (ground floor opposit saeed ghani's shop)

2nd one is by umar sayeed. I remember Gina telling that she has got this one from him. it was around 100K +

Re: Bridal Dress designer

The Umar sayeed one is lovely! He doesn’t have an outlet in Lahore but I guess some of his pieces are available at AtherShahzad’s Studio.

Here is another one in the same colour:

Description: A square neck fully embroidered zardozi choli with a flared ghagra skirted with paisley motifs on the hem, combined with a maroon net dupatta bordered on all four sides. The embroidery is light and dark gold zardozi, with sequince and crystal work.

prototype, i've never heard of hijab. do you know much about them? in terms of quality of work, price etc, are they designers, etc.

i'm actually getting that first design copied for my wedding so i just wanted to know where the original was from.

Re: Bridal Dress designer

I have tried to go there in twice but the owner ladies sitting in there,no matter they are free at times filing their nails  they tell to take an appointment and come.my mom got pissed off and yelled DAFA DOOOR and left:hehe:

Re: Bridal Dress designer

but my sister's SIL got 4 formal dresses made from them and all turned out awesome.they were in range of 20-30000 rs each. the quality of work and fabric was really nice.

They have a mustard yellow and silver lehenga that I really want. Their work is quite intricate and the quality looks awesome.

@Sana: Who is going to make your copy?

hey mahismart,
my in laws are getting it made from some shani auntie lady they go to in karachi. no idea who it is. we swapped outfits coz i had a perfect set for a walima outfit.

you're so damn resourceful, how do you pull out some of these addresses.

and they sound kind of rude prototype, i can't stand terrible customer service, makes me so not wanna deal with people. anyways i guess i'll get my mum to check it out neways when she goes to lahore, see if the originals worth it.

Re: Bridal Dress designer

Re: Bridal Dress designer

^ My entire jahez was made there as was my SIL's bari. We've had a good experience with her. She's a little more expensive, but you have peace of mind, especially when you are abroad and not there to make small decisions.

guddu and shani maybe?

Re: Bridal Dress designer

^Guddu and shani are photographers not designer

Thanks girls! prototpye you are a sweetheart you got all the details. Thank you again. :) I think i will visit City center very soon to check out details of this dress. Does Hijab have a web address too?

Does any one have any more pictures of dresses of this colour?

yes mahismart i think they are getting it made from shahina zubair. glad to hear people have had good experiences with her.

I know this is like a really old design and all, but I’m still getting this copied! They quoted us about 85,000 for it. Since I’m in the U.S. and sending my fiance (who’s in ISL) for the details and all, it’s really hard trying to communicate. But inshAllah I’m hoping it’ll turn out exactly like this!

By the way does anyone have pics of this dress worn by a bride? Or copied? I’d like to see how it looks on an actual dulhan.

But yeah, I love this dress and the colors. It’s gorgeous.

I have this made into a shalwar kameez.. it's packed away though! The only thing I didn't like was the duppata had "patti's" so I sent it back to Umar and he gave me a plain berry colored dupata with pretty work on it.
