So my grandma brought my gharara over from Pakistan, and they made it based on some pretty old measurements of mine that still do fit though. However, after trying it on the kameez is waaaay too loose and it just hangs on me like on a pole, especially because it’s also so heavy. I need to get it fitted ASAP, I have 5 weeks, so will that be enough time? Also, I’m worried the kaam will get messed up, because I need it fitted all the way from the top (underarms) to hips, and the sleeves are also sooo loose, I can’t even get my chooriya over them! I’m not going to trust just any desi tailor with this, but I have no idea where I can do it from. Does anyone know a reputable tailor that deals with bridal clothes in Berkshire/London? Anywhere in Southall?? Can I go to like a designer shop in Southall and ask them to alter it for me, or will they refuse to do it because it’s not their own creation? And how much am I looking to be charged for this?

Yeah I know which one you're talking about, is he really that good? :/ Idunno, being located in Chalvey, haven't really heard much about him etc I wouldn't have immediately thought of him to alter my bridal :S Have you had any experience with him?

If you don't trust him then go to any designer store and ask them who they use for their local alterations......they may share a name for you in hopes of future business.....

I wouldn't go to the chalvey tailor, he's okay for minor informal wear but no wayyy for bridals. I know Punjab textiles (Jaan) in southall have a tailor who sorts out lengths bought from Jaan but you can give him your own stuff on the private. He's Pakistani trained and seemed pretty good with altering formals with heavy embroidery. Alternatively visit bridals places in southall or wembly and asks spk to the tailor, they will probably charge extra since you havent bought the outfit from there
